The hopes of K1 is to develop serious, pro-level squads available on request for scrims or platoon matches in Australia. We will train together and against one another in private and public servers in order to hone our skills in Battlefield 3 to a level where we will be in high demand. We will also hopefully represent ourselves in squad matches such as sqrush and sqdeathmatch.

Each squad will be the responsibility of its squad leader, and any invites or kicks will be the decision of that squad leader. In-house training may be offered or required to join squads, at the discretion of that squad's leader.

You can request to have your own K1 squad, and I'll list it here with you as its leader. I do, however, reserve the right to ask you to take your squad elsewhere for any excuse I deem reasonable.

I write this blog because I've lost faith in PC gaming. Consoles rule the market, so 90% of game developers are catering for these platforms, single-mindedly. Us rag-tag PC gamers aren't worth the effort anymore.. Well, not for most companies.

I once heard someone say 'we need a real PC gamer to go in head first to check out this game [MW2] to tell us if it's worth the money; to tell us the facts, from someone with our perspective'. I, admittedly, was not that person. After snatching up said game for less than half its RRP, I realised that we did need someone to tell us the facts before we made a buy; anything anyone had told me was simply understated. We were let down by what was meant to be one of the sequels of the decade.

From then on, I've valued games differently; you can't simply grab any game off the shelf anymore - Times have changed for the worse. One must now research games to avoid their 'console-itis'.

If it's worth anything, I'm still a PC gamer and I plan to stay that way for quite some time; in the end, I am keen on giving most reputable PC games a shot. If it's worth a play-through or two, I'll be sure let you know.
