Why did you start this blog?

I started this blog because I lost faith in PC gaming; things have changed since my childhood.. Consoles rule the gaming market, so 90% of game developers are catering for these platforms, us rag-tag PC gamers aren't worth the effort anymore.. Well, not for most companies.

I once heard someone say 'we need a real PC gamer to go in head first to check out this game [MW2] to tell us if it's worth the money; to tell us the facts, from someone with our perspective'. I, admittedly, was not that person. After snatching up said game for less than half its RRP, I realised that we did need someone to tell us the facts before we made a buy; anything anyone had told me about this flunk of a game was simply understated. We were let down by what was meant to be one of the sequels of the decade, and that was the day that gaming changed forever.

From then on, I've valued games differently, one cannot simply grab any game off the shelf anymore. And even reviews are bias to these new times. To make the most of your money, you now have to research games thoroughly to avoid their 'console-itis'.

If it's worth anything, I'm still a PC gamer and I plan to stay that way for quite some time. In the end, I am keen on giving most reputable developers a shot. If it's worth a play-through or two, I'll be sure let you know.

How about now, what keeps you going?

Although I don't have much popularity, I have come to enjoy posting my opinion publicly. I don't mean for this to be a rant blog, but often while typing up a new post, I feel like it's headed that way. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others, especially if there's a laugh to be had somewhere among the lines.

If I started this blog because I'd lost faith in games, then it's ironic that one of my reasons to continue is because I've lost faith in gamers. These modern games are only successful because the majority of gamers think that it's acceptable for companies to release half-assed patches, shoddy game modes and broken maps. And that's just talking about the faults in games, today. Most people don't even know what a great game really is. There aren't any of them, anymore.

When it comes to pure entertainment, aside from posting my troll stories, there's quite a lot of stupid people going around saying stupid things. I don't post many of these because this blog is not a pastebin... Though, maybe I could make a page dedicated to that in the future? Hm! For a temporary page, check out my wry page.

I'm heading into game recording and once Australia's net is on par, perhaps even livestreaming. This blog would make a good backup for both of those. I don't have a knack for video editing so much, so I'll likely just stick to basic gameplays and gaming clips, as opposed to fully fledged production stuff.

I find myself neglecting my blog, youtube and other sites, often. Having people keen to hear more will encourage me to post more, so if you like what I'm doing, please let me know!
